The Global Advisory Council (GBAC) Bi-Remediation and Response Fundamentals workshop allows participants to develop the knowledge and competence to identify, evaluate, reduce and eliminate biological threats, and improve environmental and patient recovery. The course demonstrates hands-on situational response training, and covers the fundamentals of biohazardous material clean-up and waste management.
Designed for custodial services personnel, residential and hotel housekeeping, cleaning professionals, in-house service providers, hospital environmental services staff, as well as personnel and companies who provide sanitation and disinfection services, the GBAC Bio-Remediation and Response Fundamentals Workshop is intended to strengthen skills and build knowledge by:
- Teaching preventative, response, infection control and contamination control measures to known or potential infectious disease outbreak situations (e.g. flu, measles, mumps, MRSA, TB);
- Introducing innovative, cutting-edge solutions and technologies, and illustrating how to use them. Participants will have the opportunity to perform hands-on exercises with real equipment and solutions;
- Reviewing the basics of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the importance of proper donning and doffing procedures;
- Providing your business and team members a competitive advantage by building and enhancing their skills in the area of bio-response and remediation to bio-hazards.

Individuals who successful complete the GBAC Bio-Remediation and Response Fundamentals Worksop receive a course Certificate of Completion, and obtain the designation of GBAC Forensic Restoration Technician®.
